Royal Aruba Aloe — grown and processed on the island since 1890. Shop favorites on Amazon, find factory and resort stores, and pair after-sun care with reef-safe SPF during the day.

Our experience
The factory store on Pitastraat is worth the detour — products here cost noticeably less than at the resort shops, the range is the full 114 product line rather than a curated selection, and the free museum tour is genuinely interesting. We always recommend visitors stock up here rather than at the airport.
Aruba Aloe has been part of the island's identity since 1890. Founded by Cornelis Eman, Royal Aruba Aloe is one of the only aloe companies in the world that grows, harvests and processes its aloe entirely on site. Aruba's desert-like climate concentrates the aloe plant's natural properties, producing what the brand calls the World's Finest Aloe — and it's been part of the island's culture so long that an aloe plant features in Aruba's official Coat of Arms.
Whether you want to pick up products at the factory store during your trip or stock up on Amazon before you leave home, this guide covers the best Aruba Aloe products, where to find them and how to use them alongside our reef safe mineral sunscreen picks.
Most Aruba Aloe products are skincare and after-sun — not sunscreen. They are designed for evening recovery after sun and wind exposure, not primary UV protection. The brand does make a sunscreen (SPF 30) but for Aruba's UV index 11+ days use a dedicated reef safe mineral SPF 50+ during the day and Aruba Aloe products after you rinse off at night.
The same six picks we feature in our reef safe sunscreen guide— mineral SPF by day, then these for cleansing and after-sun at night. Prices vary by seller; confirm "Royal Aruba Aloe" on the listing.

Special care — 6 oz bottle
6 fl oz · extra vitamin E
Body-sized bottle for sun- and wind-burned skin. Rinse salt off in the shower first so this vitamin E–rich lotion absorbs instead of sitting on top of grit.

After-sun repair — 2 oz tube
2 fl oz · travel size
The brand’s core repair cream in a TSA-friendly tube. Keep in your dry bag for face, neck, and shoulders right after snorkeling when skin feels tight.

SPF 30 sunscreen — 6 oz
6 fl oz · broad spectrum SPF 30
Real SPF 30 coverage with aloe and 80-minute water resistance—not after-sun. In Aruba’s UV 11+ conditions, keep using reef-safe mineral SPF 50+ as your main line; use this only as the label allows, e.g. touch-ups or shorter exposure.

2 fl oz · travel

After-sun repair — 4 oz tube
4 fl oz
Goldilocks size for a week for two: enough nightly full-body passes after the beach without the weight of the biggest tube.

Shower gel
8.5 fl oz · soap-free
Soap-free wash that lifts sunscreen, salt, and sand so your repair lotion can work on clean skin—use before your evening aloe routine.
View on AmazonThe museum and factory tour at the Pitastraat location in Oranjestad is free and one of the best things to do off the beaten tourist track. You walk through the aloe fields, see how the leaf is hand cut within hours of harvest and learn about the brand's 130+ year history on the island. Products at the factory store are significantly cheaper than resort shop prices.

Buying tip
Factory store prices are the lowest on the island. Resort hotel shops are convenient but marked up significantly. If you're flying home through the airport, Gate 5 has a selection — good for last-minute purchases but limited range compared to the factory store.
Most products are after-sun skincare, not sunscreen. The brand makes one SPF 30 sunscreen but for Aruba’s extreme UV use reef safe mineral SPF 50+ as your primary protection during the day.
Yes — several products are available on Amazon. Selection is more limited than in store but the most popular lines ship to the US and internationally.
Yes — the museum and factory tour at Pitastraat is free of charge. Well worth doing especially if you’re interested in the island’s history and culture.
After Sun Skin Repair Lotion and the aloe-forward lotions and gels in the line are among the most versatile and popular. Both travel well and make excellent souvenirs.

Before you fly
Resort gift shops mark up skincare. Order Royal Aruba Aloe on Amazon before you leave — you'll have the same formulas we use after beach days, at a fair price.
