Scuba diving

Scuba diving in Aruba is reefs, artificial reefs, marine life and wrecks on the west and south coasts. The Antilla is the wreck people ask for by name. It is a certified-diver site unless an operator says otherwise for that departure.
A first dive is a supervised introduction. It is not a certification course. Certified divers can book a boat, a shore entry or a night dive. The site still depends on the sea and that day’s schedule.
Quick answer: Among these eight listings, certified dives start at $80 and the Mangel Halto night shore dive is also $80. Introductions for people without a card start at $99. None of them locks the Antilla onto every departure.

The Antilla is a large wreck off the northwest coast. Divers and snorkelers both use it, and marine life uses the structure. Some wreck areas can be a supervised dive. Others need a card and recent experience. An introductory listing does not include the Antilla unless it says so. Aruba Watersports Center mentions the wreck and still says the site follows the schedule, the sea and the group. Confirm the wreck before you pay if that is the reason you are booking.
Mangel Halto is a south-coast reef used for snorkeling and diving. Nautilus teaches its introductory PADI dive there, with shallow practice before the reef. The same beach is the night shore dive for certified divers. Other activities in the area are separate bookings.
Operators also run boat and shore dives to sites that change with the sea, the visibility, the cards in the group and the day’s plan. If you want one named wreck or reef, ask for that site before you book.
You can try scuba without a card. These programs cover a briefing, the gear, shallow practice and a supervised dive. They do not issue a full certification. Ask a dive center about a course, the schedule and the total cost if a card is the goal.
Nautilus states that you do not need a license or previous experience. You practice in shallow water, then dive the reef with a PADI professional. The listing includes pickup and drop-off, equipment, a PADI book, water and a snack.
Best for: a first dive with a set reef and a structured introduction.

Nautilus Dive Center Aruba
PADI introduction at Mangel Halto for people without a dive card. Shallow practice, then a guided reef dive. Pickup, equipment, a PADI book, water and a snack are listed.

Check AvailabilityThe itinerary describes a Discover Scuba Diving program for people who are not certified: about 20 minutes of briefing, shallow-water practice, then a dive to a listed maximum of 40 feet. The usual site has reef and a shipwreck. The wreck is not named. Scuba equipment and pickup for up to 4 people are included. Basic swimming is required. The listing does not recommend the dive during pregnancy or with poor cardiovascular health. This operator requires at least 18 hours before a flight. Photos appear in the gallery and are not in the formal inclusions.
Best for: a private introduction, with the site and the no-fly rule confirmed before you pay.

Underdog Divers Aruba
Private Discover Scuba-style dive, about 3 hours, to a listed maximum of 40 feet. Reef and an unnamed wreck. Gear and pickup for up to 4 people. This operator wants 18 hours before a flight.

Check AvailabilityA card opens the boat, shore and night listings below. Confirm the level they accept and any recent-dive rule. Depth and conditions can add another requirement on the day.
A boat reaches offshore reefs and wrecks that a beach entry does not. These two are for certified divers.
Dives leave the boat with a back-roll entry. The description mentions wrecks, including the Antilla. The site still depends on the schedule, the sea and the group. Scuba gear is included when that option is selected, so read the price you are paying. The booking age band starts at 10. The card requirement is separate from that age.
Best for: a certified boat dive, after you confirm the Antilla if that wreck is the point.

Aruba Watersports Center
3-hour boat dive for certified divers, with a back-roll entry. Gear depends on the option you select. The Antilla is mentioned, and the site for your day is not fixed.
3 hours · 4.8/5 from 221 reviews
Check AvailabilityTwo planned dives with a surface interval. A professional instructor, snacks, drinks and pickup from the cruise terminal and designated hotel areas are listed. The two sites follow that day’s plan. They are not locked to named wrecks.
Best for: certified divers who want two dives in one outing.

SEARUBA FLY N DIVE
4-hour boat trip with two dives for certified divers. Instructor, snacks, drinks and hotel or cruise-terminal pickup are listed. Sites follow that day’s plan.

Best for: a shore entry without a boat ride.

Nautilus Dive Center Aruba

A guided night dive on a shallow reef or a shipwreck, depending on the location and the conditions. A certified instructor, drinks and weights are listed. The Antilla is not a confirmed stop.
Best for: a short guided night dive once you know the site for that departure.

The price moves with private versus shared, one tank versus two, whether the gear is in the rate, transport, the site and extras such as video. Nautilus introductions and the Underdog first dive include scuba equipment. The shore and night Nautilus listings name tanks and weights. Aruba Watersports Center includes gear on selected options. Read the inclusions on the price you select.
Yes, on a supervised introduction. A typical first dive is a briefing, time on the regulator, practice in the shallows, then a guided dive. Depth and the route depend on the program, the sea and how the session goes. Underdog’s introduction requires basic swimming. If you are not comfortable in the water, say so before you book.
Children: Nautilus introductions list ages from 10, and other cards start at 10 or 14. Age, the medical form and the training limits are separate checks. Confirm the child with the operator.
Flying too soon after a dive raises the risk of decompression sickness. The wait depends on the profile. Underdog’s featured introduction requires at least 18 hours before a flight. Other operators set their own interval. Do not copy the 18-hour line onto a different dive. If the dive is near the end of the trip, confirm the no-fly rule before you pay.
| Feature | Scuba diving | Snorkeling |

| Gear | Tank, regulator and the rest of the kit | Mask, snorkel and usually fins |

Choose scuba when you want the underwater time and you will do the instruction or bring a card. Choose snorkeling when you want to stay at the surface. Shore spots are in snorkeling in Aruba.
Yes. The coast has reefs, artificial reefs and wrecks, including the Antilla. The site on a given day still depends on the sea and the operator’s plan.
Among these eight listings, certified dives start at $80. Introductions for people without a card start at $99. Private and two-tank trips cost more.
Yes, on a supervised introduction. Nautilus states that its PADI program does not need a license. Underdog’s first-dive itinerary is for people who are not certified. Those sessions are not a full certification course.

Aruba Watersports Center mentions the Antilla and also says the site can change. None of these eight listings guarantees that wreck on every departure. Confirm it before you pay.
The Antilla is the wreck people name. Mangel Halto is the reef on the Nautilus introduction and the Nautilus night shore dive. The better site is the one that matches your card and the plan for that day.
Yes. The Nautilus PADI introduction is at Mangel Halto Reef and does not require a license.
Yes. Nautilus and Underdog both list certified shore dives. The Antilla is a boat dive.

Not always. Some listings include the scuba kit. Nautilus shore and night dives name tanks and weights. Aruba Watersports Center includes gear on selected options.
Several listings start at age 10. The Red Sail night dive starts at 14. Medical eligibility and the operator’s training rules still apply.
You need a wait. Underdog’s introduction requires at least 18 hours. Confirm the interval for the dives you actually book.
They are different. Scuba is underwater on a regulator. Snorkeling stays at the surface and needs less gear.
A first dive is the Nautilus introduction at Mangel Halto, from $99, or the private Underdog dive, from $108. Certified divers can compare the boat, shore and night cards above.
If the Antilla is the reason for the trip, confirm that wreck is on the schedule before you pay. Match the booking to your card, how you feel in the water, and the flight home.
