The Online ED Card, or Embarkation/Disembarkation Card, is a mandatory digital form required for all travelers (including infants and children) staying in Aruba for more than 24 hours. This essential step replaces the paper card previously distributed to visitors and must be completed online before your trip.
The ED Card process can only be done through the official platform at edcardaruba.aw within 7 days of your departure to Aruba. Filling it out earlier may lead to invalid dates. Here’s what you need to prepare:
You will need the confirmation to check in with your airline and to board your flight.
Starting July 2024, Aruba has introduced a $20 Sustainability Fee for air travelers, which supports the island’s ongoing environmental and sustainability initiatives. This fee will be added during the ED Card completion process.
Once your ED Card is successfully submitted, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a green checkmark. Print it out or save it digitally, as you’ll need to present it during airline check-in and boarding.
The Online ED Card is not just a formality but a streamlined way for Aruba to maintain smooth immigration procedures while prioritizing traveler safety and convenience.
Keep in mind, requirements and fees may change. Visit Aruba’s official tourism website or the ED Card platform for the latest updates.
